JOB SUMMARY
We are looking to hire a full-time Security Officer to join our team. This position will ensure the security of our company’s property, employees and visitors by patrolling the grounds and surrounding retail center. You will promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
JOB DUTIES
- Patrol and monitor activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
- Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before law enforcement arrives to take over.
- Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocol
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance cameras to watch for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
- Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management.
- Testing security systems to ensure proper functioning at all times
- Maintain a positive, friendly and professional attitude at all times.
- Performing first aid as needed or directed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have at least three years prior security guard experience
- Must possess a valid and current security guard registration card
- Minimum of a GED/High School Diploma (for reading, comprehension, and basic math skills).
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
